In September 2017, we were awarded a 50 year contract to own and operate the water distribution and wastewater collection systems at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, OH, as part of the Department of Defense’s Utility Privatization Program.
Our responsibilities include system capital investment, regulatory and environmental compliance, and long-term operations and maintenance. The water and wastewater systems serve a population numbering approximately 27,000 people who live and work on the base.
The water system contains approximately 100 miles of pipe, over 750 hydrants, 14 storage tanks, and several wells and pump stations, and. The wastewater system contains over 50 miles of pipe, 27 lift stations, and over 1,000 manholes.
